The great band... this is more of a summons for meronym's photos of their concert right now, but I definitely wanna discuss them soon (I'm at lunch right now, though, so can't make a lengthy post.)

| The pics are qutie cool, thank you very much - and you're a lucky person that can see Sigur Ros for free. They played Atlanta last year for the first time ever - played a very, very popular symphony hall and tickets were between $95 and $210 or... ummm... between about 52 pounds and 115 pounds. |

This is an ad for a new film called "Heima" from Sigur Ros which follows their free gigs they did around Iceland last year.
The ad in itself is amazing and really shows Iceland at it's best! I am lucky to have been to a lot of the places shown!

new album coming out in June, they released the first song off it today, you can download it for free(the song) on their website and watch the video. The song is called "gobbledigook" and the video is NSFW and NSFkids lol
great song and video.
Their dvd Heima, is the best band film I have ever seen, Iceland of course is the main feature and looks beautiful, which isn't hard to do. I would advise everyone even if you aren't a fan, to watch the dvd. It's great! |

woooohooooo
A FREE Bjork and Sigur Rós concert here in Reykjavik!!!! On 28th June, this is so cool!
It's to promote awareness of the environment and other bands are yet to be confirmed for it.
This is great, I have already seen both live, but Sigur Rós have their new album and you can't beat a free event really! |

Woo Had the free concert last night, we went straight after work at 430pm and Ghostdigital started around 5, the sun was really strong and I got burnt on my face. They were rubbish. Then ólof Arndals she was ok, kinda similar voice to Johanna Newsom.
Then Sigur Rós they were soo good! There music needs to be heard in an outdoor location, looking at the sky with the clouds passing, the trees blowing in the breeze and the birds gliding by. To top their performance they played the new single and out came Olof and Bjork! Everyone was clapping and banging drums the audience went mad it was brilliant!
Then Bjork came on forever later, it was so cold and we never really got into her set, she played too much I didn't like, although I mean she played Hunter, which is just wow! and ended on Declare Independence
Overall it was worth the frozen toes and the sunburn Didn't get home until around 12am! Long walk home. |

Okay Karen, I am absolutely and utterly jealous of you now. I adore Sigur Rós! Can't believe you've seen them for free!
I bought Takk a few months back and then got another of their albums, Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust, and I just love them.
Their music is so beautiful and Ára Bátur never fails to bring tears to my eyes. I plan to see these next time they come to England, even if it means I have to go by myself! _________________ *Upcoming Gigs*

They are amazing. I have seen the singer a few times recently at the coffee shop at the end of my street, just hanging out with his boyf! Stephen saw the bassist just queuing in the post office, they are so regular! haha
