I've just watched an MTV2 'Making of the Video' for Miss Murder, and there is this clip where Davey, rather than lip sync during filming, actually sings the 'Prelude 12 21' introduction to the Miss Murder video (of course its the actual track on the video) but when he sang it, I got goosebumps, and that's never happened to me on a live vocal on the TV before, its always been when I've seen a band on stage....

My eldest son is off to see AFI in Bristol with my sister and her boyfriend...would have been his first pwoper gig, but he got the opportunity to see Sikth last night in Falmouth and had a fab time meeting them and collecting autographs (one chuffed teenager). |

those pics are bloody good! My video clips are better than my pictures, I got Girl's not Grey, Love like Winter, Miss Murder and the bit where he knelt on the crowd!
I'll upload the bits to my pc and post the best ones! I have to say that last nights gig was UNBELIEVABLY F**KING FANTASTIC, and dare I say they were better than lostprophets AND MCR, yes, you read right! I'll do a pwoper review in a bit, and yes I should be at Lacuna Coil AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, but my mate's ex husband is playing silly buggers. He better not ruin it for MCR next month :evil: |

quick review:
The first support band were Departure (I wasn't listening) and were :| The second support band were The Explosion and easily the best support band I've seen so far, remember kids: 'Recycling plastic bottles is good, but if you throw them at us then F**K YOU' They were a damn good band, an American punk band with an underlying Pogues style to them. AFI came on to Prelude 12 21, I kinda guessed they would, but was hoping it would be Miseria Cantare (this was the only fault of the evening, it was the one song I was desperate to hear and they didn't play it), they went straight into Girl's Not Grey and then everything just went into a blur from there, I can't get over the number of songs they performed! Its been a long time since I've been to a gig with that level of adulation for a band, I though everyone hung on Gerard Way's every word at MCR, but this was the first gig where EVERY song was greeted in like a long lost friend. Davey Havok is a charismatic frontman and commands his audience. There was one point where he KNELT on the crowd and sang... Helen has a picture of it, the one where he is in silhouette, and I've never seen that before! 2nd best gig ever folks - FACT Right, i'm off to suss out youtube! |

Have to agree whole heartedly to that!!! certainly was 2nd best for me too! Still reserving 1st place for Muse - they are gonna have to be good to knock the Manics from that No 1 spot - reckon it will be a close call!!! (if you havent seen the Manics live then you wont understand that I am sure) |

Glad you had a good time girls...picked my son up from his adventure today (it was the first time he'd been past Plymouth on the train...and on his own!)
He was a bit tired but had a great time and loved AFI Great pics and video clips - thanks for sharing 8) |
