Comedians

I'm watching a Lee Evans performance on the comedy channel at the moment and crying with laughter. He's amazing, I love it when he does his voices and characters. I just love his whole act, I can't think of a favourite sketch at the moment, but his fart sketches make me get massive stitches.

He's a genius.

Who makes you laugh?

i know this isnt very "cool" but i love Russell Brand, he really makes me laugh, hes so near the knuckle, i know that everyone seems to be slagging him off just now, but i think its more to do with the rate that he goes through women than how he is as a comedian! i love him! i also love the old comedians like Rik Mayall and Basil Faulty, Black Adder etc, im not that keen on the stand up type though, its never really interested me that much

EDDIE IZZARD TIMES A MILLION!!!!

I LUUUURVE him I have his whole box set and I've been watching it very repeatedly. Hes so quotable too. "Le singe est sur la branche!" Hes very much into Europe which I love so he talks very politcally about things like that but hes a right laugh. Loves him <3

I'm also a Bill Bailey fan for downright hippy madness! Hes at Nottingham in November, see wether I can afford the ticket!
wildflower

oh i love Bill Bailey too in fact Buzzcocks is one of my faves, i forgot about that

Peter Kay - with his hobnobs - dip me dip me again.......

I saw Eddie Izzard about 4 years ago on his 'Sexie' tour and I went with my mum and my best friend. I remember trying not to laugh at the really rude bits because of my mum's presense! I was 32 or 33 at the time!

Seen Alan Davies (Jonathan Creek) twice, we heckled him that much at the Derby Assembly Rooms that he stayed on another 40 minutes! The cleaners came in for something to do while they were waiting and he ripped the piss out them so much.

I am loving Russell Brand atm, listen to his radio show on podcast every week, never seen his stand up, but if its as good as his show then, Ill watch teh dvd, can't wait for his book out in Sept...its funny coz I hated him with a passion growing up watching him on MTV!! Thought he was a right f**ker

I love BIll Bailey! He is amazing, his musical pieces are so funny!

Ricky Gervais, is just a genius, watched a few of his dvds a while back and he is brilliant.

I saw Dara O'Briain at the Hammersmith Appollo a few weeks back. Mainly went to accompany my friend but glad I went, he was incredibly funny.

Don't like Dylan Moran?
TreeHeart

I do like Dylan Moran  ,  well in Blackbooks and Shaun of the Dead. I've never seen any of his stand up to comment.
SuperGinge

Yeah, Dara 'o Brian is funny, i watched him on Jack Dee live at the apollo...he was really good

Peter Kay makes me laugh, but sometimes it seems like once you've seen his act once, its all very similar...

You've missed the best 'young commedian' in the UK (as he was voted a couple of years ago).

ROSS NOBLE!!!!!

Might appeal to me more than you lot, because he is a Geordie, but he is pants-wettingly funny! Seen him live 4 times, and after each time I've come out in pain through laughing too much and still hurt up to 3 days after the show!

The show I went to for his Randomist tour was actually put onto DVD, so it's brilliant re-living that whole show all over again!

This year me and my mates are going on a Noble Marathon on his next tour, we're going to all FIVE Newcastle shows.

Here's some youtube clips of his live stuff, you won't be disapointed. (all words below are links)

Meat on the Face (The classic)

'24' and Ice Cream Vendors

Bummed in the Face (I was at this actual show! - a different one from Randomist)

Never Put a Blanket Over an Owl (the one on the Randomist DVD that I was at)

and finally Ross on Room 101
TreeHeart

I have seen him before, don't know what though. I love that accent

Have you ever seen Mean Girls? There is a great meat on face moment lol nothing to do with Ross, but it's pretty funny
mr_x

Hehe... My accent is almost identical to his.

Nah I've not seen Mean Girls, heard of it, but only the name, got no idea what it's about.
mr_x

5:07 into this video onwards... just awesome!

Can't get into Ross Noble at all

I'm a big fan of Mock the Week
SuperGinge

haha, Ross Noble makes me laugh

I'd like to go see him...How many times have you seen him chris?

"Bono!!! Take your glasses off, you look like a twat!"

Haha! I shouted that in town once, and a bloke rode past on a bicycle wearing glasses, he gave me evils

NEW ROSS NOBLE TOUR ANNOUNCED!!!

The 'Ross Noble Things' tour.

Quite a mammoth tour too!

Trying to decide how many nights in Newcastle i want to go to... all 5 is an option, but if I'm living elsewhere at the time it could be tricky... hmmmm... And how many other days.... I'm seriously considering doing at least 5 if not more!

http://www.rossnoble.co.uk/livedates.html

"In his new show Ross will be covering the topic of things - big things and small things. Things that have happened to him, things that have happened to you. Surfing the wave of the here and now, join 'the most brilliant stand-up of his generation' (Sunday Telegraph) in a free form, free wheeling ride into the way things are."
tasheh

Going to see Ed Byrne and maybe Russell Howard in November
tasheh

Changed my mind. I am now seeing Eddie Izzard and Bill Bailey two nights in a row. Much better I think
SuperGinge

oooh, love Bill Bailey!

I'm seeing Lee Evans on Thursday! Yayyyy!
mr_x

I saw Ross Noble nearly 2 months ago now, he was bloody amazing as usual, his best show so far!

His Jade Goody stuff I shall not repeat as I've already offended lots of people by doing so.

Somebody from Sunderland then heckled and shouted "you couldn't fill the Sunderland Empire" to which Ross replied; "Good, they haven't got Electricity yet, I wouldn't want to go there"

He then spent about 20 minutes having a dig at people from Sunderland (he is a Geordie man after all!), which culminated in him concluding that they're all inbred idiots, to which it got a big loud cheer.  If a Mackem heckles Ross Noble, they will not come out of it alive.
