I don't know if you already got one. If this thread already exists, please delete it. I got one facebook adress, the difference with myspace is that we can belong to groups, it can be interesting if we use it properly but it is also a big fun of course. I have already Helen in my friends there.

I have facebook and its set to private so only people I choose to add as friends can look at my profile.

I don't have any personal info on there, my abbreviated name, a deliberately wrong date of birth (well at my age I want to be younger

) and I haven't put my location on there.

I'm careful about these kind of things, I'm thinking of my daughter having facebook. I'd NEVER let her have bebo or myspace, but facebook maybe. Her profile would be definitely private.

My parents have no idea about internet safety, my sister does be on youtube, which is just full of everything! Her friend added me on bebo the other day and what do I find? A site for my sister! She has no pics or info, just her name, but it's not private! I could have killed her, that reminds me to rat her out to my mam.
She is only 11!! Her friend has older parents and I think they let her do whatever, so my sis does all this in her friends house, my mam also let her watch Juno...

the wall is like a comments box, make sure you click the other persons wall (click on their profile and go 'wall hunting') but watch out for the super-wall!

If somebody writes on your wall click the 'wall-to-wall' link, then it opens it up elsewhere and you can write in the box at the top, while seeing the rest of the things that other person has said.

it's a bit complicated at first, but you'll get there.

Groups are simple, if you want a group, search for something like "beans on toast" (yep, i've done it!), open the group up, and press the join button.

Don't spam your own account.
