I Belong To You

I wasn't sure about this song on first listen, the clarinet solo just made me laugh! But on listening to it a few more times it's really grown on me a lot. And Matt speaking French is... ahem... very nice indeed.

Also I love the references! Overdue, Muse, Guiding Light.

Yeah, I don't like it that much..  it's pretty confusing I think? the first part is great, but the part in French.. well to a French person, it's just ridiculous.. weird...
Ham of the Problematique

It's a cover of the Samson and Delilah opera, which I suggest may explain the weirdness? Opera tends to be weird....
ashentara

Yeah I know that, but Matt's French is just unintelligible lol
it makes the song weird
SuperGinge

Matt singing in French made me LOL.

Well lo and behold, it's happened again!

I'm referring to the release of Supermassive black hole back in 2006 - I hated it at first, then totally fell in love with it

same's happening with thing song - I'm totally in awe now when I listen to it.
I still have a little problem with the French singing but the whole song is just... enormous!  It's like an opera in five minutes you know?  and the singing is just so pure, so beautiful.. Matt could be an opera singer, I think.

Well I think now that song is one of the most progressive ever, and I'm loving it more and more!

Ahhh I'm so glad you've come around! The singing is absolutely beautiful, yes. I laughed out loud when the clarinet came in the first time I listened to it, but I think it works so well now. The song continually goes to new places and it's moving and just... beautiful I say again!
SuperGinge

Okay, I love this song now.

I love this song, it's cheesey and fun and the French part (among other bits) makes me lol. The clarinet part really works I think.
