I can't get into the Jayzee stuff or the Mike Shinoda side project though

it took me ages to get used to those projects. they are sort of alright but their "own" stuff is better

I know what you mean, I don't go for the hip hop stuff, but I suppose its an underlying part of Linkin Park's sound too.
They must be good live.... wonder if they'll tour here soon

well they are bringing as new album out next year i think so hopefully they do come over here!

I dreamt that the Reading/Leeds headliners for summer 2007 were RHCP, Green Day and Faithless  
Linkin Park would be perfect to headline Donnington, I want to go for the day, its not that far from where I live.

RHCP, Green Day and Faithless for carling weekend headliners can't be right cos they usually have a classic band, in other words old, like this year they had pearl jam and the year before the pixies, i heard someone say it might be metalica as they havent played reading in a while...either way i am hoping (and saving) to go to both festivals...so its all good

Metallica did the Carling Weekend in 2003 or 4? My mate saw them.
I think the dream was heavily influenced by my daughter who wants to camp at Leeds next year, she adores the Chilis and Green Day, and I have no idea where Faithless came from! I hope its a decent line up next year, I haven't heard of any rumours yet, I know Muse mentioned they got approached last November to headline the Carling Weekend.
How cool if the classic band was Sonic Youth or Smashing Pumpkins?
I want to go to Download too, but just for a day, see who is on the bill when its announced.
