Mercury Prize 2006Here's a debate... Why on earth (logically) did Muse lose to Arctic Monkeys other than their popularity? Even the Judge said.. who's would people think was the best album of the year. It's all about what people think as opposed to whether music is good or not!!!
Did no one else hear him say that? Its so hypocritical!!!!!

yes, we're all pissed of, but think about it - the award seems to be the kiss of death to the bands that win it, so I think its done Muse a favour.
Think about how many Mercury winners are SUCCESSFUL and ACTIVE and WELL KNOWN at this moment in time? erm.......I'm struggling.
What happened to Gomez? Pulp? Portishead? Belle and Sebastian?
The Mercury Prize seems to put jinxes on bands and their careers go downhill after winning it, so this means our boys are SAFE!

I actually like the Arctic Monkey boys, and agree with Dom's statement about all the albums bieng brilliant. Well, apart from that Scrilli Plalili Dilly guy or whatever the fuck they're called. They sucked.
Remember what one of the Arctics said about keeping the music simple? ''no tricks''? F***s sake! They ment well, but f***s sake!

yea that really annoyed the hell out of me. If it wasn't for the almost .. ALMOST arragont (correct me if i'm wrong) speech i wouldn't have minded muse not winning.. but meh...
