Actually this info may be a bit late lol I'm not sure (yeah and I work in the video games industry, shame on me).
It's a new character (Matt) from what I heard, but never played the game so...

cooool! Are they making a real Matt character? They have Billy Corgan from Smashing Pumpkins, they do that thing were they film them singing and playing guitar with dots on and then make them into computer generated characters.
I love playing KOC on guitar hero hehe
