favourite songs from it everyone?

i would have to ssay exo-politics, KOC, starlight, SMBH, Assassin and invincible....

(^^bit of a long list....if truth be told, i don't really have a fav....i love them all!)
Ju-Ju!

Cool stuff. Good to hear that you enjoy the new album. I wouldn't say BHAR is my favourite.. it would have to be Origin of Symmetry or Showbiz .. or possibly Absolution  Just not BHAR It's really good and has excellent songs like CoD and E-P and pretty much the whole album!!

But i have to say that Muse've become a tad too disco-y :?
Nevertheless.. Muse definitley should have been at top spot for at least another two weeks!! Shame really... Damn you Razorlight LOL!!

What?!?!?!? You're fired, Julzy!!

oh nooooo but but.... lol it's good stuff but SMBH was a bit of a sneaky subconcious copy of Britney Spears' song. :? it's good to dance to but where did all my piano solo's go!!!

*remenises on Absolution* ahh... those great songs i could piano to... <snIFF> <SnIFF> it took me 10 minutes to learn Starlight and Hoodoo!!

I love BH&R! I think it's possibly their best album yet! I was somewhat disappointed with Absolution at first, but it growed on me.
After hearing the new album though I've realised that Absolution isn't as good as many make it out to be, ah well.

Personally I love Invincible and Hoodoo. I'm not a big fan of the first four songs though, I usually just skip to Soldier's Poem now! hehe...
Ju-Ju!

wow! that's really cool! It's so strange hearing various favourites from the album given that most people would say soldier's poems not that great. Me.. i love it! it's like the Unintended of BHAR

I love BHAR don't get me wrong but i really love Muse's old stuff too! I miss my lovely piano solo's!
Mind you there is some beautiful music in CoD which i might learn on the violin... well my brother's violin hahaha!! and Hoodoo is beautiful.. both lyrically and vocally! A lot of people compare Matt's voice in Hoodoo to Jeff Buckley but i think the whole song is really original. Any thoughts??
Northern-Star

I really really like BHAR, it took me a few listens to get really into it, but now I'm crazy for it!

My faves at the moment would be, starlight, hoodoo, Invincible, KOC and COD, they change all the time, for instance Soldiers Poem, was my fave at first, now, I still like it, but I prefer the others

I have to say it's beginning to emerge as a fave album for me, I think because the music is varied a lot more as a whole...ie; every song is different
That's just my opinion
Ju-Ju!

AWW! i feel left out! i'm like the only person who prefers Absolution..(as far as i know).

But my favourites on BHAR have to be pretty much everything but not Take a Bow. I used to love it, but then my friend over played it when we had a Muse session at her house. (basically watching all the DVD's, idolising posters and merchandise and listening to every album!! Really sad i know!)

We've come up with a really cool video for starlight but i've heard that it will be very similar to Sing for Absolution? The same director for SfA will be directing Starlight. I'm not entirely sure if i liked SfA video but it looks like it will be quite interesting. I love starlight and CoD. They're both amazing live!! SMBH is just really good to dance to and E-P has such an addictive beat. Take a Bow is a good beginning song but i killed it by listening to it so much!!

Love Hoodoo with a passion and KoD is just so ear explosively good! Especially the video!! Soldier's Poem is the Unintended of the album and i really really like it. So overall i think the whole album is amazing, just doesn't have a Stockholm Syndrome song or B+H .... It's amazing in different ways

(really long and most probably boring! My apologies  )

Map is my favourite track...very romantic song
BH & R is an acquired taste, for sure. For example, it took me a while to really like OoS, but eventually I did. Same with BH & R, at first I thought it was weak-sounding compared to other Muse albums, now I think it's very good indeed.

I was just reading the thread and was going to say no one had mentioned Map and Steve has to go and beat me! Anway, its my contender for favourite Muse song EVER, and for me to admit that it beats Butterflies is going some.

I think BH & R lacks a Stockholm Syndrome, but I can see why they haven't done one, so they don't do 'formula' albums, ie there has to be the piano track, the radio friendly track, the love song etc, the epic track etc.

Its a grower though, so was Absolution for me. The only one I loved on first listen was Origin.
Ju-Ju!

ditto. COuldn't have said it more wiselier than that my friend!
Political_Assassin

new album...where do you start!!??it's so epic and dramtic!!i love it, a great offering form muse, showbiz is still my fav album, but this is an amazing contender.....i don't honestly know what to say about this album...it leaves you pretty speechless!
Tina

here here!! (minus the exo & invincible... (CoD and SMBH hehe))
warped

The new album.. I have learnt to love it!

First time I put it on, especially the first half was just.. "meh" and only from Assassin it seemed to get a bit more promising. I felt like it was too predictable and the songs a bit boring. Well, I kept listening to it though and started to like it more and more and now I love all of the album basically. Hoodoo is my favourite track, with Map and CoD. The two tracks that have taken the longest for me to get into were probably Invincible and KoC. But now I even love those.

HOWever, I still gotta say that I don't quite get the chills from this one that I got from OOS the first time I put it on (pure magic that was for me, feeling like I had found my musical home) or what some songs like Stockholm Syndrome, Showbiz and Dead Star still do to me. But I won't place it amongst the albums yet, since it is still so fresh. Ask me in two years and maybe I can tell how I'd rank it.

Wow, warped, I honestly couldn't have stated my opinion of the album better in my own words. Kudos for feeling precisely how I do about BH&R!
ashentara

when I first got the leaked version of the album I put it on my iPod and listened to it, but I'd left the shuffle feature on so I listened to it in the wrong order.
It was quite funny though coz I guessed what most of the songs were..
I remember the one that impressed me the most was Invincible..

to date it's still my favourite track. I used to hate Supermassive but now I like it a lot (I might love it even in a couple of months). Then I love Hoodoo, and KOC, and Starlight most, but I really like them all, except maybe for Soldier's poem. It's still not growing on me..

And Manu, from the very beginning I thought I would get bored with Soldier's Poem very soon and start to skip it. But no, hasn't happened yet. I kinda like it, a lot, and am amazed about that myself. The funny thing is, that the first time i had the album on, I hadn't listened to the lyrics at all, but then just heard the "There's no justice in the world and there never was" line and bursted in laughter! It just seemed so hilarious at that moment.. hmm.. I don't laught at it anymore though. Hmm...
Matt's Red Hair Dye

The whole album (to me) is fantastic, it has many differences to Absolution which are better. I think that Absolution had couple of tracks too many, and there were standout tracks such as TIRO & Hysteria which meant listeners would probably skip some tracks. Now BH&R doesnt have this, all the songs are balance and there isnt no wow track which means you dont skip as many. The more you listen to it the more you grow into it, this album is a certain grower. The only song I dislike is Invincible, cause the lyrics to me are corny. Map Of the Problematique is my fav and always will be, a monolith of a track.
Sylvie

I like this album very much, I would not say it is my favourite because all are different. I love the first one, Showbiz and OOS, less Absolution but this last one is gorgeous with his various themes and influences.
I loved Knights at the beginning and it tends to be less. I still don't like SMBH but my favourite songs are Invincible, Take A Bow, Map Of The Problematique, Hoody and City of Delusion... I only regret the Rock sound is not so powerful in it, well, we have the other ones to enjoy for this.

Ham of the Problematique

I absolutely love the album, and have done from the outset. They seem to have expanded their sound in the exact regions that I really love, especially in songs like City of Delusion and Knights of Cydonia, but the first half of the album (particularly Starlight and Invincible) took me a few listens to really appreciate because of the predictability. The only thing that I don't like so much about the album is the lack of beautiful piano!
