Nooooooooo you're calling Morgan a member of muse :oCan't do that!!!

hmm i dno.. i mean he IS part of the instrumental set up and does put together a good live show. But i guess he isn't part of the group persay...

I think he's not part of Muse as the band, but he is very important now.

Agreed

He's a very, very important part of the Muse live experience. I say that with a bit of regret because one of the most important things about Muse is that they are a three-piece. If they have a four-piece live show then it makes it seem like they can only play their songs with three members in the studio.

He has an active part in the Muse live show.....he's part of the Muse team

it does kind of feel like the end of muse as we know them though, theyve always been so impressively loud for a three peice, but now theyre a four piece, i dunno, theyre not so impressive anymore? hehe no thats not quite right, but you know what i mean

I know what you mean, Wildflower. Now when someone asks what makes them so different we can't say that they're more instrumentally talented and there's only three of them making the sound that is usually ffour or five members.

yeah thats exactly right, theyve been "three" for so long it just doesnt really seem right, although matts been talking about a fourth memeber for a while now, so it was inevitable, aslo its seems like when a band get big, its what they do i.e. Nirvana and Green Day to name but two!

In my mind Muse will always be a three piece, but Morgan helps out on stage. I would liked to have seen them as a three piece on stage but have only seen them as a four piece on stage so I cannot make any comparison.
I think of Morgan as being like Kirky. He's there and he's in the team, he's not officially a member of Muse. Whether the fans want him there is a different matter, but at the end of the day Matt, Chris and Dom made a decision to bring Morgan on board, and that is something we have to accept, whether we agree with it or disagree with it.

Same for me, I don't mind they may be 3 or 4, the main thing is that their music must be as good as ever and if Morgan's presence is useful for Matt's presence on stage, it is all nice. We must also notice that the new album requires more instrumental investments, so this is probably the reasons
I met Morgan twice in US, he was the bassist of the Gorillaz, he is a very nice person, smiling and close to the public. He has the same spirit and well, which bands have never changed through their career ?

i sat nooooooo! the guys should be a trio! trio since 13 and trio forever! hey, he;s just backing vocals and extra stuff. im still waitng for the day matt plays paino with his feet and guitsr woth his hands...

I would like to see that paige
I still see muse as a three piece. Morgan is an important part of muse's live performances, i mean he does the piano when matt is playing the guitar and he does the backing vocals. I doubt that they'll ever name him as an official member of muse, because then people might assume that morgan would be taking over all piano duties (strange way to describe it, yes) and the fans can't be deprived of matt's talent! I see him more as a member of the crew, like Tom Kirk, an important factor to muse, but not essentially part of the actual band.

Muse will be a three-piece band, however life they are a 3.5 piece nowadays (morgan doesn't play in every song). However their current sound is hugely improving because of morgan.
Just look at the Man with a Harmonica cover they did at marlay park. Morgan did a huge job in that!
