If you as a woman, could take a pill (if you don't already) to stop your period all together, would you? There is no guarantee that your reproductivity will be not be affected btw, same as any other pill I suppose.

I am due to go have the big H op on the 27th of this month (you dont need all the gorey details) so it WILL stop for me then. Have been taking magic tablets since September that are supposed to stop everything, and they do to a certain extent but not completely, though its better than it was!

ooh helen, that sounds scary, but if you have problems in that area, then it will be sooo much better when its sorted, let us know when how it goes!!

Oh yeh, I am the one who said no. My main reason is, I am terrified that all these drugs are harmful to your body and we just don't know enough yet to prove it. Not just talking about fertility issues, but cancer and various other things makes my head spin!
I am on the pill, for birth control and for my skin(damn spots)
I can't remember what a "normal" period was like for me, I suffer so much now with cramps and blinding headaches, that I think surely it wasn't worse back then!
Sometimes I imagine that my cramps are what labour would feel like they are so painful.

Well I started a new pill a the beginning of Feb, so next week we shall see whether this new pill changes anything.

I suffer from the most awful periods, and I'm on a 19 day cycle. Always have been from the age of 13. I dread them. I am going to see if I can have that implant in my arm.

I'd do anything to stop them and forget my fertility, I've got two kids and I'm happy with my lot.
