Damn thing. No idea where it came from or what I clicked on.

Please tell me your afternoon was more exciting than mine!

I went to 2 Halfords stores for windscreen wipers for the car... the one in Durham didn't have the size my car needed, so I had to go to Gateshead up the A1, and there was an accident so spent an hour in traffic before getting to Halfords in Team Valley(Gateshead - just down the road from the Angel of the North).

I got the wipers in the end and fitted them, and they work (hooraaa!) my old ones are in the bin because they were very useless and just didn't work at all!

its all car related with us!

I badly need 1 tyre, the other 3 are perfectly fine for a while, and I'm trying to find a budget tyre to get me by, then about Christmas replace all 4 tyres for good ones. I don't want and can't really afford to replace all 4 together, but trying to find a good, CHEAP tyre to last 6 months is proving to be hard! Everything I find starts at £70 plus

Evening!

Hope you've had a good day. :-)

I read in Anne's (Kuutar) thread that you're looking for work further down South. I must admit I'm surprised there's no decent jobs in IT in the North East. Or is there the jobs just not the money?
I'm the opposite, I'm desperate to come back up North. I'm from Gateshead (Whickham to be precise) originally, but I just want to be back up North. I'd love to move back to Cumbria where I lived for 6 years, but there just isn't the work there unfortunately.

There's no jobs up here in IT at all, or money for the few jobs that get through! I applied for a job in Durham that was £16k per year, and then I applied for a job in Leicester on saturday which was £23k per year both jobs were exactly the same... huge difference if you think about it!

I don't really want to leave the North East as i love it up here (can't beat a Geordie atmosphere!), but I feel that if I want a good career in IT, I have to move south... Not left with much choice really.

I'll move back up here in 5-10 years maybe though if jobs permit. :p

I live in Consett at the minute up in the hills! Not far away from Whickham.

I'm not too bad... Not quite as hung over as I thought I might have been.

My dad took me to the pub again, and as it was free beer (for me, he paid!), I took advantage and had quite alot.

Just watched the F1... . bloody Hamilton won again!!

getting rid of Vista is a good thing!! I hate it too!

hehe thats one of the main reason that i stopped drinking, i get the hangovers from hell and its just not worth it, i spend two days being totally cabbaged before i feel human again,  i do miss it though, and now we have a pissed as a fart thread i really wanna contribute

I dont like Lewis Hamilton, he dated Courtney Love at one point too!

yeah vista sucks, but i had to find the correct drivers for this particular laptops WLAN which took me forever, cause it has its own manager with it, that you HAVE to have to switch on the wireless, at one point i thought i would have to give up and put vista back on!! Google is now officially my best friend
