thanks guys
the procedure itself is painless, just uncomfortable, which is good right
but the results take about two weeks.. not so good. it's the third time I go through that ordeal, and it doesn't get easier.
apparently i've got a potential cancer forming on my cervix but no one knows for sure when or if it will happen (though it-'s more a matter of when, apparenlty, given that both my grandmothers had the same thing). Ever felt like a time bomb?wham!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________

Just try to stay positive. And if it is cervical cancer, they've caught it early right? _________________ *Upcoming Gigs*

| Waiting for results like that is harsh. Do they call you only if there is a problem? |

yeah, if there's a problem, they call me or give me an appointment to discuss it directly with the doc.
If I get the all clear, it's gonna be a letter from the lab.
So let's hope for snail mail.. thanks for the support guys. _________________

goddammit, this is really turning into a bad week medically speaking for me.
Had a volleyball game tonight, pretty intense, 5 sets.. we lost, incidentally, but that's not the problem. Last season I got diagnosed with shin splint (periostitis), and had to stop exercising for about a month. It's basically an inflammation of the membrane surrounding the tibia bone in the leg. It's not a critical condition (ie you can't die from it, you can't get paralysed, etc) but it's very annoying. I thought I was cured after summer (having spent two months NOT playing volleyball at all).. and everything was fine until tonight.
I had to stop in the last set because it hurt so much. And now, about two hours later, it still hurts like a sob, and I'm guessing it will get better in a couple of days if I rest and avoid using my leg muscle too much (no trekking, no walks in the park this week-end). But it will start again on Tuesday during practice. I'm willing to bet on it.
So I'll go see a doc.. but this time I'm not settling on "rest only". Anybody suffered that kind of thing? It affects mostly joggers, runners, or people doing sports where there's a lot of accelerations/decelerations and jumps (tennis, volleyball, squash for the most part).
Anyway. I'll make an appointment on Monday and see where it goes from there. Maybe I can get Tom (my crush) to give me a massage ha ah
just kidding. Sorry about the vent.
