Well... The Formula 1 was mildly entertaining today. Even if it was a Lewis Hamilton sucking show... I hate Hamilton and I HATE ITV's bias towards him... James Allen deserves to be shot, Martin Brundle has recently become just as bad as him, Steve Ryder should go back to the tennis and Mark Blundell is just Mark Blundell... Boring.
I did however enjoy the comment from James Allen of:
"The first half of this race has provided a full season's worth of action"
British Touring Cars provides the amount of action seen in a full F1 season in 1 single lap alot of the time! Why don't people like touring cars more than F1? It's much, much more action packed, much more entertaining, and none of the drivers have their heads stuck up their own arses like F1 drivers do, they're actual genuine people who are very easily aproachable and will answer every question you throw at them rather than just ignoring you.
GRRR... I hate F1... BTCC is back next weekend though.
I don't know why I put this in this thread. _________________ Links of Chris:

I may not get on tomorrow because it's my son's birthday. He must be a lucky boy in numerology somewhere:
he's 7 on the 7th day of the 7th month! _________________

LOL
I like any form of motor racing. Agrees about James Allen - that man is seriously hacking me off - he lurves Lewis far too much. I didnt actually watch the race but listened in the other room.
Also agree about Touring cars, much more exciting.
I have to say I am prefering Moto GP now to F1, though now its moving to Donington coz I only live 7 miles away=D so I might go again! or go nearby to to hear the noise.
I am slightly worried as to what will do the the circuit to make it F1 standard again. |

I went to Donington for the Touring Cars this year, had a great time! We were stood at the Craner Curves on the inside of the old Hairpin... The speed of the cars down there is awesome!!
By 2010 I'll also be living within a few miles of that track too! So I might go and see what all the fuss (and expense) is about.
I was relieved when the owner of Donington has said "I won't be touching from the first corner (Redgate) to Mcleans of Coppice" which means the Craner Curves and Old Hairpin will be unchanged too
He is a good American owner!
I'm already getting very excited for the Touring Cars next weekend... 1pm ITV4 is where it's all at on Sunday! 6 weeks without BTCC is far too long!!
from 3:20 in this youtube vid is what motorsport should be all about... not the bore-fest of F1!

6 cars side-by-side at 140mph and ALL of them making it through a very tight chicane! _________________ Links of Chris:

haha I dont think you would see F1 cars cornering like that would you!
The thing I like about Donington is that you can park on the infield - I have spent many a happy race either sat in my car (coz its raining) or on my car coz its hot! |
