UFO's?
Yeah, evolution is a bit iffy...i always wondered why there are still apes on the earth if we evolved from them?
It goes into one of matt's conspiracies of how, somewhere along the line, aliens bred with something on earth, and we were formed. I actually think that this is quite a strong theory, cause although we are very similar to apes, it we actually were evolved from them then there wouldn't be any apes left on the earth would there?

I'm sorry but you both obviously don't have a clue about evolution then.
We didn't just suddenly turn into people one day*, humans evolved from ape like creatures over millions of years, basically us(humans), great apes evolved from similar species, we are all still evolving, we just can't see it, as it is a very slow process. Humans started to develop better skills than apes and separated off from them at some point.

*no we didn't |

oohhh....ok then lol, i dont really know much about evolution, as i proved in the other comment lol
I know it was over a long period of time...but i thought that we actually evolved from apes, so i allways wondered why apes didnt keep evolving lol _________________ *Upcoming Gigs*

On a basic level, evolution is about mutations, so at some point in our history our brains started to get bigger, we stood upright etc, while the apes didn't, so therefore they are pretty much still the same as they were, we are like a different branch on a tree. *basically*
I don't mean to be rude about it, just it bugs me when people make a statement and really don't have any facts to back themselves up, or know nothing of the thing they are talking about.
Or try to fit it into religion, by bending the rules |

that's the bit I don't get, why did apes stay as apes and humans turn into humans, what bit made them stay and us change
Like I say, I'm not clever enough to really comment with facts, just the assorted thoughts that float round my brain!
I have theories and ideas that pop up from time to time, but can't back them up with anything substantial, just how I perceive things. _________________

Well I am not a scientist, I didn't even do science in school, it's just something I have come into recently and as a non religious person, I think it is good to have facts behind you when religious folk start quoting the bible.
Opinions are fine, but when there are facts out there, people should look them up. |

lol its fine, its your religion...everyone believes different things..
I'm a bit like Ali, i just have random thoughts in my head, not facts really...just random thoughts about stuff...most of the time if i look them up and try to find actual facts they get disproved _________________ *Upcoming Gigs*

*goes for the contraversial statement*
see, I'm an atheist. I'm an each to their own type of person, and all for genuine mutual respect for our beliefs. If we all believed the same thing then things would be boring, there would be very little individuality.
However, I AM curious as to how we evolved, how everything evolved. While I obviously choose to shun the religious theory, we came from somewhere! But how and where!
And I'm not talking about the baby making bit either _________________

aww damn lol
i was going to do the "when a mummy and daddy love each other very much..." speech
I think the religious view on how we became humans is a bit stupid (no offence paige ), cause if we came from god, then who created him/her? everythngs got to come from somewhere, we dont just appear...
I just think its one of those questions that will never get answered...
I get alot of questions from closed minded people at my school asking me if i'm a satanist and worship the devil...based on the fact i listen to rock music...
And i got told i was going to hell by this whoreish girl in my class just cause i dont have a religion, and cause i don't believe in god...it didnt scare me though, cause i don't believe in hell either _________________ *Upcoming Gigs*

You see I don't think the world would be boring if we all agreed there is no truth to the myth of a god any god creating us. Religion does a lot of bad things, so I think without it the world would be a better place.
I think America is a scary place to look to when you look at the fundamental religious groups, what with all the money they have behind them, they are involved in everything, government etc.
Don't even get me started on those icky purity balls
I will stop now, coz I could just go on and on. I do have a heart and at the end of the day, your own beliefs are your own and if you believe in something then thats for you to enjoy As long as everyone is happy I se no problems. |

Yeah, I'm happy for a person to have a religion, as long as they don't try to force their believes onto me, or do bad things and use their religion as an excuse, like honour killings...thats just sick.
