Oh, and now I'll post a bit of Denzel
*grabs Denzel cheek* MAH CUTIE!!! Actually, you may he thinking that his hair is falling wrong. But... he's not leaning on his side, he's on his back and it's a top view kind of thing. You'll... you'll see when I post the entire thing I'm just not happy with Sylas's hair.

Yaaaay! Thank you, I do love getting comments
I didn't know if any of you had seen my drawings before; I have a whole bunch but that was one I sketched last night and scanned and coloured today |

A drawing I did last night and coloured this morning... the quality isn't very good because I loaded it into Photoshop and one point and it's simply awful - makes your picture all pixelly and the zooming thing is really bad... and I don't care what anyone says, that program is pantz
It isn't great... The original was a different theme and more humorous... but it didn't look as good. I can still post it if anyone wants, though |

I didn't do it in Photoshop. As I said, it's poop
I use Paint Shop Pro. You scan your picture in, unshaded and preferably inked (I just don't have the right pen) go to layers and promote the background layer.
You then make a mask from the image and lock the transparency. You go over the first raster in black so you're left with simply the penlines of your drawing and you create another layer called 'background' and put it to the back of the other layers. Fill it with white and you have something that looks like the original thing.
Create another layer and call it colour or something, and use the airbrush with the magic wand tool (though to don't have to use magic wand) and colour the drawing.
Two more layers called 'highlights' and 'shadows'. The 'highlights' layer is set to 'screen; while shadow is set to 'multiply'. You take the original colour you used for whatever part you're colouring, and on the 'multiply' layer it makes it darker like a shadow. 'screen' is similar but makes it lighter.
All I used paintshop for was the patterns in the background, but it messed the quality up big time. Argh! |
