| To be honest, your work is good in either language. Far too many amateur poets are modish, and often use swear-words instead of talent, in an attempt to be modern and striking. Your work is finer than your critics'. |

Thank you for those elogious words, my poems are so personal that some people seem to have difficulties it may really be sincere... I don't like those too intellectual comments really... those kinds of persons lost their sensibility considering poems in this way ... Anyhow, other people encouraged me by pm messages to keep this way of writing... It seems my poems are not in the nowadays style and they noticed this!
I'm sure it would be the same thing for yours! _________________

LOVE'S LEXICON
They're only words...
A collection of symbols
From archaic lands,
Built on graves
Buried in time.
They're only words...
They don't mean it like I mean it,
Or feel it like I feel it
Because the language of a soul
Is beyond their function
They're only words...
And I disclaim them,
Never meant them,
Never heard them
Speaking in tongues
They're only words...
Alien, worthless
Ambivalent, useless
They don't speak for us,
Because we talk of love |

I miss you so much tonight
I miss your laughter, your sweetness
I miss your cheesiness
I miss the way you always cheered me up
I miss the way you brightened my days and nights
I miss our insane conversations
I miss our chats
I miss your understanding
I miss getting all excited when I got a mail from you
I miss the cheese and the love
I miss everything about you… _________________

Manu, your love poem is so truthful and heartfelt .. especially if you've read the book, you know where everything comes from. Very good.
Well, this is my first one ... well nearly first one!
So ... be kind!
A Toast
I had to admit, my heart, sweet
was the poison that you made me drink.
Fill your cup, drink, you said
Or you’ll never know how it feels.
As I dipped my lips, the cool liquid shimmered and danced
Its prison of crystal, forever the mirage of our love
The strange beverage was golden
And had the sweetness of apples
From the lost orchard of our dreams.
I lied. I said it tasted of lime.
Sip by sip, we drunk to the dregs.
The glass now lays empty, but why break it?
I couldn’t fill it with more.
It needs refining but it's a start .. _________________ Draw another picture

Wow, you all write and I can't
I feel really unable to write those last days, I wish I could, I'm going to try anyway.
Steven, your poem is very beautiful and really express what you already told me, that's to say what you think about words expressing love but poets are surely the persons who can get closer to the soul, am I right?
Manu, your words come from the heart and they are so beautifully sad, hugs xxx
and Laure, aww I was the first one to read this poem... As I said on Unomuse, I think it is an excellent first one. I do love it, and even find it a medieval atmosphere, I don't know why... The imagery really seduces me. I love it my sweet friend. Keep on writing!!! _________________

Roots of eternity
Immeasurable legacy, o unchanging roots
I inherit from you this gift of oneself, an inner wisdom
Seal of my existence, my gratefulness is infinite.
I cannot deny them, my heart would go on beating
But would lose all its sap with the passing years
So many forebears leant on your nourishing sanctuary
Munificent, absorbing streams of tears of joy and sorrow.
Even if destiny carries me far from these bonds,
If I ever sometimes lose foot, I then feel the call…
And I find myself, here sitting on an old stump
You give me back the energy to hold my head up
If my body won’t ever recount your awe-inspiring beauty
My soul will come and wander on your blissful lanes,
I will quench my thirst with the nectar of your eternal spring.
November 1st.
