I love the hanging things at the beginning, what are they called? I know nothing about plants btw

Here is my garden, which is shared between 5 apts. needless to say it was weeded this time exactly last year and now we had some lovely daffodils bu they are being devoured by the weeds, as it rains so much here! lol

Oh, Ali, those photos are great! You must have a beautiful garden. I am officially envious. Also envious of your camera...

I've spent all afternoon in the garden! Its on 3 levels its that steep, the highest level, the lawn is as high as the top of the kitchen window.

The plant in the 1st 2 pictures is wisteria, I adore it, it dies away to loads of twigs over the winter, and in two weeks it goes from twigs to that lot! The flowers will have gone this time next week.

I love aquilegia, and the dicentra (Bleeding Heart, but its past its best)
the dark purple aquilegia were seeds my mum got me from the Chelsea Flower Show (me and the OH paid for her to go for her 60th Birthday and on the last day its a free for all and I got a copper butterfly wind chime from one of the display gardens and the seeds!) I have blue aquilegia somewhere but its not flowered this year I can save you seeds, Sarah!

I adore gardening, its taken me 4 years to get even halfway to what I want, there is still a long way to go! The kids have ruined the lawn though with the football!

I shall update you with pics when more comes out! I have sweet pea hanging baskets, normally people use them as a climber, but I use them as a trailer!

Gardening is the new rock and roll

And yes, Hannah, its a good camera and my first dabble with the macro (spelling) setting!

Thanks for the lovely comments

Oh yes please Ali that would be lovely
can send you some passiflora seeds in return...my passion vines have gone mad
also have echiums sprouting left right and centre...I love them...dont know how they would cope in your part of the world but can send you some seeds at the end of the season
other than that I dont have much in way of self seeding flowers...the dogs have put paid to that...

have some nice flowering shrubs though and lots of lovely trees
(though I had to chop 3 trees down this spring  )
oh and I have a mini fruit garden, which at the mo consists of a cherry tree, a blackcurrant bush and some rhubarb...have been planning on getting a coxes orange pippin for years but never get around to ordering one
and tis pointless putting strawberries down as the dogs would just trample them

dont have nearly as much time to spend in the garden nowadays as I would like

will post some recent pics of my garden when my daughter finds the camera she has mislaid...again...

heres a sunset pic taken from in front of my house
