ouch Manu. I had to go to the doctor a few years back with bad knees, can't remember what it was called, but it was similar, not deadly, but if I did certain exercises he said I would be ok. Of course I am terrible at remembering to do them, so they are getting bad now again
And with all the walking I am doing in my new job I have different aches and pains in my feet and knees daily.

Doesn't help I kicked the wall with only slippers on last night, my toe is so sore!

that's it isn't it!  It's not deadly so we don't do the exercise routine and stuff very.. well, and well, it just keeps happening.
Saw the doc on Monday, he said like I thought it was periostitis, and told me to rest for two weeks (only exercise I'm allowed is swimming), gave me some meds to reduce the swelling and I have an appointment with a foot doctor lol don't know the word, someone who's gonna watch how I walk/run etc and maybe I'll have new soles or whatever for my sports shoes.
Just very annoying but nothing too bad I guess.

I'm more worried about Gab tonight, she has a fever, she was very... subdued tonight for lack of a better word, said her throat ached.. and everything ached a little... so I gave her some paracetamol but my mind is screaming "flu!!!!!!!!!!!" and I'm just panicking a bit.
Spoke to my mum, said that the flu pandemici thingy was really kicking up right now due to the recent drop in temperature. So i'm on Gab watch tonight.  Good thing I'm not working tomorrow - I'll be able to take her to the doctor's  or the ER if needs be

Manu I dont know about France but our NHS has put a thing on the web where you have to put in the symptoms and it tells you if it thinks you have the swine flu or not.  I know this as the drs here at work are refucing to see students and telling them to do this.  if it comes up with a yes then it tells you to go get tamiflu.  They might be doing this in France too.

its all a bit annoying as they arent seeing students who are actually having other symptons and we have had a couple with tonsilitis that they said was flu

Hope your daughter is feeling better soon.

This whole flu thing is just annoying isn't it.  I mean we all get paranoid, and same here, they just won't see people who "think" they have the flu, you have to prove you have a fever etc.
Gab turned out alright, she was sick for about 24 hours but it's all gone now, so I guess that wasn't it.  Though my dad (he's an ER doctor so kind of aware of all this) said it could very well have been a mild version of the flu. Said he'd seen a lot of people come into the ER with flu symptoms only to get better a day or two after.
Oh well we'll see I guess.

Yeahh. It wasn't as bad as I thought! Although it does hurt to lift my arm now. My next one isn't till 4th December, and my last one is sixth months from yesterday.

Yeah, I always get weird reactions like that after a vaccine (unable to lift my arm, etc) but it's no big deal compared to the horrific stuff you avoid thanks to said vaccine!!
